Iowa City/Coralville Area CVB
The Iowa City/Coralville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) advances the economic vitality and quality of life for residents and visitors as Iowa’s premier destination.
What is the CVB?
It is the area’s only full-time destination marketing organization. The CVB promotes the Iowa City/Coralville area to visitors and works closely with the public sector to advance quality of life.
Who is the CVB?
The CVB is a private, not-for-profit organization guided by a 14-member board, representing the CVB membership, the city councils of Iowa City, Coralville and North Liberty, the University of Iowa, Johnson County and the hospitality industry of Iowa City, Coralville and North Liberty.
Where does the CVB funding come from?
About 60% of the CVB funding comes from approximately 28% of the hotel/motel taxes collected in Iowa City, Coralville and North Liberty. Membership dues, retail sales and other partnerships make up the other 40% of the budget.
